What is Emotional Intelligence.?

Perhaps this is one of the most popular concepts in today’s business world, including major works have been created to explain and develop it, but, that is emotional intelligence and to help or affect individuals.

According to Daniel Goleman and several other experts, the concept of emotional intelligence defines all rational thought in an individual is influenced and invariably mixed with their own feelings, which is derived from the rejection of the existence of a pure rational thinking for decision decision, giving first priority to emotions.

Put another way, humans always mix our feelings or emotions to our thoughts, whether for better or for worse, these emotions are always modifying our way of thinking, and therefore the way we act.

There is a proven theory to the extent that we know to control our feelings or emotions we will be able to cope with our fellow men successfully and achieve group objectives we set out, however when there are feelings and passions overwhelmed we can fall into conflicts and disagreements caused by the lack of emotional control.

But what are emotions?

Is defined as anything that moves an individual, which prompts him to do something, and found in the emotional part of people and is continuously emanating energy, which in most cases can be very powerful indeed This word derives from the Latin motus which means to move.

In general there are five basic emotions which each have its rationale, and serve different purposes within the scope of behavior and human development, it is not too say that these feelings define the characteristics of each individual as such also to define each person as unique.

The five emotions:

1. Affection. Is the susceptibility of human beings to experience certain changes that occur in the real world or your own self? Also known as love for a human being gives to someone.

2. Fear. This is a sentiment that helps to preserve the security, life and welfare of the individual, can avoid hazardous or dangerous situations.

3. Joy. Is defined by some scientists as an ideal state, light and airy interior, generating well-being, energy levels and a strong willingness to act constructively, which can be seen in every person, even though he experiences it, reveals in appearance, language, decisions and actions.

4. Sadness. Opposite of joy, sadness is defined as a state of moral decay caused by an unwanted act or failure to comply with any hope of life.

5. Ira (anger). This is perhaps one of the most powerful feeling more physical energy and may even require the part of an individual through this may reflect the dissatisfaction, resentment, anger, to stop any action or act that is causing problems or irritability.

It is important to understand the concepts of these feelings in order to understand and shape them as individuals to understand that as we learn to control and focus on the positive, we will be in a better way to achieve our objectives and goals.

Accepting that we are thinking beings but we are also a set of feelings that allow us to live intensely every action and decision we make, with this we will be better individuals and better business every day.

Remember also that every human interaction involves thinking and feeling, so should coexist harmoniously, and to the extent that this is recognized, the interaction and communication processes are on track to be more objective and productive.

Perhaps the answer to what emotional intelligence is as simple as I explained here, but the real task is that as individuals parsimony sets in our intelligence to our emotions as a whole, that ideal may be a little difficult, but at least we to try if you really want to be different and successful people.
